Moshav
A Moshav is a type of cooperative agricultural community in Israel. It is characterized by individual farming plots where families work their own land while sharing resources and services. Moshavim (the plural of Moshav) often focus on agriculture, but they may also engage in various other businesses.
Moshavim were established in the early 20th century as part of the Zionist movement to promote Jewish settlement in Palestine. They differ from Kibbutzim, which are collective communities where property and resources are shared more equally among members. Moshavim allow for more personal ownership and independence.
