Montserrat Volcano
The Montserrat Volcano is located on the Caribbean island of Montserrat. It is part of the Lesser Antilles volcanic arc and has been active since 1995. The volcano's eruptions have significantly impacted the island, leading to the evacuation of the southern part and the establishment of an exclusion zone around the volcano.
The most notable eruption occurred in 1997, when the volcano erupted violently, destroying the capital city of Plymouth and burying it under ash and debris. Since then, the volcano has continued to erupt intermittently, making it a subject of study for volcanologists and a point of interest for tourists.
