Montserrat
Montserrat is a small Caribbean island located in the Lesser Antilles. It is a British Overseas Territory known for its lush landscapes, volcanic hills, and beautiful beaches. The island has a population of around 5,000 people and its capital is Plymouth, which was largely abandoned after a volcanic eruption in the 1990s.
The island's active volcano, Soufrière Hills, erupted in 1995, leading to significant changes in the island's geography and economy. Today, Montserrat is famous for its natural beauty, hiking trails, and cultural heritage, including the annual Montserrat Festival that celebrates its music and traditions.
