Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr
Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr was an influential Iraqi Shia cleric, philosopher, and political leader born in 1935. He is best known for his contributions to Islamic thought and his role in the development of Islamic economics. Al-Sadr founded the Islamic Dawa Party and was a prominent figure in the opposition against the Ba'ath Party regime in Iraq.
In addition to his political activism, al-Sadr authored several important works, including "Our Philosophy" and "Islamic Economy." His ideas have had a lasting impact on Shia Islam and continue to influence contemporary Islamic movements. Tragically, he was executed in 1980, but his legacy endures.
