Modern Welsh
Modern Welsh, or Cymraeg, is a Celtic language primarily spoken in Wales. It has evolved from the Old Welsh language, which dates back to the 6th century. Today, it is recognized as a minority language and is taught in schools, with a growing number of speakers and a vibrant cultural presence.
The language has undergone significant revitalization efforts since the late 20th century, supported by the Welsh Government and various organizations. Modern Welsh features a rich literary tradition and is used in media, music, and daily communication, reflecting the identity and heritage of the Welsh people.
