Mizo National Front
The Mizo National Front (MNF) is a regional political party in the state of Mizoram, India. Founded in 1961, it emerged from a movement advocating for the rights and identity of the Mizo people. The party played a significant role in the Mizo Nationalist movement, which sought greater autonomy and recognition for the Mizo community.
In 1986, the MNF signed a peace accord with the Indian government, leading to the establishment of Mizoram as a separate state. Since then, the party has been influential in state politics, focusing on issues such as development, cultural preservation, and the welfare of the Mizo people.
