Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway
The Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway (M&StL) was a regional railroad in the United States that operated primarily in the Midwest. Founded in 1870, it connected the cities of Minneapolis and St. Louis, facilitating the transport of goods and passengers across several states. The railway played a significant role in the economic development of the regions it served.
In 1960, the M&StL merged with the Chicago and North Western Railway, marking the end of its independent operations. The railway's legacy continues to influence transportation and commerce in the Midwest, as its routes laid the groundwork for modern rail systems.
