Mingrelian Language
The Mingrelian language is a member of the South Caucasian language family, primarily spoken in the western region of Georgia. It is closely related to Laz, another language spoken in the neighboring areas. Mingrelian has its own unique grammar and vocabulary, distinguishing it from the official language of Georgia, which is Georgian.
Mingrelian is primarily used by the Mingrelian people, an ethnic group in Samegrelo, a region in western Georgia. Although it has no official status, efforts are being made to preserve and promote the language through education and cultural initiatives.
