Milk Teeth
Milk teeth, also known as primary teeth or baby teeth, are the first set of teeth that develop in children. Typically, these teeth begin to emerge around six months of age and usually consist of 20 teeth in total. They play a crucial role in helping children chew food and speak properly, as well as holding space for the permanent teeth that will come later.
Milk teeth usually start to fall out around the age of six, making way for the permanent teeth, which are also known as adult teeth. The process of losing milk teeth and gaining permanent ones continues until about age 12 or 13. Proper care of milk teeth is essential for maintaining overall dental health and ensuring a smooth transition to permanent teeth.
