Mikhail Nikolaevich of Russia
Mikhail Nikolaevich of Russia (1832-1909) was a member of the Romanov dynasty, the ruling family of Russia. He was the son of Grand Duke Nicholas Nikolaevich and Princess Alexandra of Saxe-Altenburg. Mikhail served in the Russian military and held various commands, contributing to the military efforts during the Russo-Turkish War.
In 1891, Mikhail became the Governor-General of Transcaucasia, where he focused on administrative reforms and infrastructure development. He was known for his efforts to improve relations between different ethnic groups in the region. Mikhail's life was marked by his dedication to public service and his commitment to the Russian Empire.
