Midian
Midian was an ancient region located in northwestern Arabia, primarily associated with the nomadic tribes mentioned in the Bible. It is often linked to the descendants of Abraham through his second wife, Keturah. The Midianites were known for their trade and interactions with neighboring cultures, including the Israelites.
In the biblical narrative, Midian is significant for its connection to figures like Moses, who fled to Midian after killing an Egyptian. The Midianites are also noted for their conflicts with the Israelites, particularly during the time of Judges, when Gideon led a campaign against them.
