Microfibers
Microfibers are extremely fine synthetic fibers, typically made from materials like polyester and polyamide. They are much thinner than a human hair, which allows them to be used in a variety of applications, including cleaning cloths, clothing, and upholstery. Their unique structure gives them excellent absorbency and the ability to trap dirt and dust effectively.
Due to their small size, microfibers can also contribute to environmental issues. When washed, they can shed tiny particles that enter waterways, potentially harming aquatic life. Efforts are being made to develop solutions, such as filtering systems and biodegradable alternatives, to mitigate these impacts.
