Messier 3
Messier 3 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Canes Venatici. It is approximately 33,000 light-years away from Earth and contains around 500,000 stars. This cluster is one of the brightest and most studied globular clusters in the night sky.
Discovered by Charles Messier in 1764, Messier 3 is notable for its rich population of variable stars, including many RR Lyrae stars. It has an apparent magnitude of 6.2, making it visible to the naked eye under dark skies.
