Meshach
Meshach is a figure from the Bible, specifically known from the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament. He was one of three young Hebrew men, along with Shadrach and Abednego, who were taken captive to Babylon. They are famous for refusing to worship a golden statue set up by King Nebuchadnezzar, which led to their being thrown into a fiery furnace.
In the furnace, Meshach and his companions were miraculously unharmed, as they were protected by divine intervention. This event demonstrated their faithfulness to God and is often cited as a powerful example of courage and devotion in the face of persecution.
