Menispermaceae
Menispermaceae is a family of flowering plants commonly known as the moonseed family. It includes about 70 genera and over 400 species, primarily found in tropical and subtropical regions. Members of this family are often climbing plants or vines, characterized by their unique, often lobed leaves and small, usually yellow or white flowers.
The fruits of many Menispermaceae species are small, berry-like, and contain one or more seeds. Some plants in this family, such as Berberis and Cocculus, have been used in traditional medicine, while others are known for their ornamental value.
