Meleager
Meleager is a figure from Greek mythology, known as a hero and the son of Althaea and Oeneus. He is famous for his role in the Calydonian Boar Hunt, where he led a group of heroes to hunt a monstrous boar sent by the goddess Artemis as punishment for his father's neglect of her.
Meleager's life is marked by a tragic fate. According to the myth, he was destined to die when a specific log in the fireplace burned out. His mother, in a fit of rage, burned the log after learning of his involvement in the death of her brothers, leading to his untimely demise.
