Calydonian Boar Hunt
The Calydonian Boar Hunt is a famous event from Greek mythology, where a monstrous boar was sent to ravage the land of Calydon. This was a punishment from the goddess Artemis because King Oeneus failed to honor her in his harvest offerings. To stop the destruction, Oeneus called upon the greatest heroes of the time to join the hunt.
The hunt attracted many notable figures, including Atalanta, the only female hero, and Meleager, who played a key role in the hunt's success. After a fierce battle, the heroes managed to kill the boar, showcasing their bravery and skill.
