Mehmed IV
Mehmed IV was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1648 to 1687. He ascended to the throne at a young age, and his reign is often marked by military conflicts and territorial losses. His rule saw the rise of powerful military leaders and significant challenges to the empire's authority.
During his reign, the Ottoman Empire faced the Great Turkish War, which involved battles against the Habsburg Monarchy and other European powers. Despite initial successes, the empire ultimately suffered defeats, leading to the loss of territories in Europe. Mehmed IV was eventually deposed, and his reign is often viewed as a period of decline for the empire.
