Mazandarani Language
The Mazandarani language is an Iranian language spoken primarily in the Mazandaran province of northern Iran. It belongs to the Northwestern Iranian branch of the Indo-Iranian languages and has several dialects. The language is closely related to Gilaki and shares similarities with Persian, but it has distinct phonetic and grammatical features.
Mazandarani is used by millions of speakers in everyday communication, literature, and music. Despite its rich cultural heritage, the language faces challenges due to the dominance of Persian in education and media. Efforts are being made to preserve and promote Mazandarani through various cultural initiatives.
