Mayang Palm
The Mayang Palm, also known as Borassus flabellifer, is a tall, fan-leaved palm tree native to tropical regions of Asia and Africa. It can grow up to 30 meters high and is characterized by its large, palmate leaves that can reach up to 2 meters in diameter. The tree produces clusters of small, white flowers, which develop into round, edible fruits.
This palm is valued for its various uses. The sap can be harvested to make toddy, a traditional alcoholic beverage, while the leaves are often used for thatching roofs or crafting baskets. Additionally, the seeds are edible and can be consumed raw or cooked.
