Maya Script
Maya Script is a writing system used by the ancient Maya civilization in Mesoamerica. It consists of a combination of logograms, which represent words or syllables, and phonetic symbols. This script was primarily used for recording historical events, rituals, and the lives of rulers on monuments, pottery, and codices.
The Maya developed this complex script around 300 BCE, and it is one of the few fully developed writing systems in pre-Columbian America. Scholars have deciphered many aspects of Maya Script, allowing us to understand their culture, history, and achievements more deeply.
