Mawangdui
Mawangdui is an archaeological site located near Changsha in Hunan Province, China. It is famous for its well-preserved tombs from the Han Dynasty, dating back to around 168 BCE. The site includes three tombs, with the most notable being that of Lady Dai, which contained a wealth of artifacts, including silk textiles, food, and medical texts.
The discoveries at Mawangdui have provided valuable insights into ancient Chinese culture, medicine, and daily life. Among the artifacts found are the Daoist text known as the "Tao Te Ching" and the "Mawangdui Silk Manuscripts," which highlight the advanced knowledge of the time in various fields.
