Maslow's Theory
Maslow's Theory, also known as the Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, is a psychological framework that outlines human motivation through a five-tier model. The levels, from the most basic to the highest, include physiological needs, safety needs, love and belonging, esteem, and self-actualization. According to this theory, individuals must satisfy lower-level needs before they can address higher-level needs.
The theory suggests that as people fulfill their basic needs, they become motivated to pursue more complex desires. For example, once someone has enough food and shelter, they may seek social connections and self-esteem, ultimately striving for personal growth and fulfillment through self-actualization.
