Marten
The Marten is a small to medium-sized carnivorous mammal belonging to the family Mustelidae. Found primarily in forests across Europe, Asia, and North America, martens have a slender body, short legs, and a bushy tail. They are known for their agility and are often seen climbing trees in search of food, which includes small mammals, birds, and fruits.
There are several species of martens, with the European Pine Marten and the American Marten being the most well-known. These animals are typically solitary and are most active during dawn and dusk. Martens play an important role in their ecosystems by helping to control rodent populations.
