European Pine Marten
The European Pine Marten is a small, agile mammal found primarily in forests across Europe. It has a slender body, a bushy tail, and a distinctive yellowish throat patch. These creatures are known for their excellent climbing skills, allowing them to navigate trees with ease. They primarily feed on small mammals, birds, fruits, and insects.
European Pine Martens are solitary animals, often marking their territory with scent. They are most active during dawn and dusk, making them crepuscular. Their populations are generally stable, but habitat loss and hunting can pose threats in some regions. Conservation efforts are in place to protect their habitats.
