American Marten
The American Marten is a small, agile mammal found primarily in the forests of North America. It has a slender body, short legs, and a bushy tail, with a coat that ranges from yellowish-brown to dark brown. This species is known for its sharp claws and keen sense of smell, which help it hunt small mammals, birds, and fruits.
American Martens are solitary animals, often living in tree cavities or dens. They are excellent climbers and spend much of their time in trees, where they can evade predators. Their habitat includes coniferous and mixed forests, making them an important part of the ecosystem.
