Marpa
Marpa is a significant figure in Tibetan Buddhism, known as a translator and teacher. He lived in the 11th century and is celebrated for bringing many important Buddhist texts from India to Tibet. His work helped establish the foundations of Tibetan Buddhism, particularly the Kagyu school.
