Maria Teresa of Bourbon-Parma was born on July 1, 1790, in Parma, Italy. She was a member of the Bourbon-Parma family and the daughter of Ferdinand, Duke of Parma and Maria Amalia of Austria. Maria Teresa became the Queen of the Two Sicilies through her marriage to King Francis I of the Two Sicilies in 1812.
Throughout her life, Maria Teresa was known for her charitable work and support of the arts. She played a significant role in the cultural development of her kingdom and was involved in various social initiatives aimed at improving the lives of her subjects. Maria Teresa passed away on April 13, 1855.
