Maria Anna of Savoy
Maria Anna of Savoy was born on September 17, 1687, in Turin, Italy. She was a member of the House of Savoy and the daughter of Victor Amadeus II of Savoy and Anne Marie d'Orléans. Maria Anna became the Queen of Spain by marrying Philip V of Spain in 1714, strengthening ties between the two royal families.
As Queen, Maria Anna played a significant role in the Spanish court and was known for her charitable works. She had several children, including Luis I of Spain, who later became king. Maria Anna passed away on May 14, 1739, in Madrid.
