Maria Amalia of Spain
Maria Amalia of Spain was born on July 12, 1802, in Madrid, Spain. She was the daughter of King Ferdinand VII of Spain and his fourth wife, Maria Christina of the Two Sicilies. Maria Amalia was a member of the Spanish royal family and lived during a time of political turmoil in Spain.
In 1829, Maria Amalia married Prince Adalbert of Bavaria, strengthening ties between the Spanish and Bavarian royal families. She became known for her charitable work and support of the arts. Maria Amalia passed away on September 4, 1870, in Munich, Germany.
