Margaret of Tyrol
Margaret of Tyrol was a noblewoman born around 1290, known for her role as the last member of the House of Tyrol. She inherited the title of Countess of Tyrol after the death of her father, Count Meinhard II, in 1295. Her reign was marked by political challenges, including conflicts with neighboring territories.
In 1315, Margaret married Count Otto of Bavaria, which aimed to strengthen alliances. However, her marriage did not produce any heirs, leading to the eventual transfer of her lands to the Duchy of Austria after her death in 1369. Margaret's legacy is significant in the history of Tyrol.
