Margaret of Scotland
Margaret of Scotland, also known as Saint Margaret, was a Scottish queen born around 1045. She was the daughter of Edward the Exile, a member of the English royal family, and she married Malcolm III, the King of Scotland. Margaret played a significant role in the cultural and religious life of Scotland, promoting Christianity and reforming the church.
Margaret was known for her charitable works and her dedication to the poor. After her death in 1093, she was canonized by the Catholic Church in 1250. Her feast day is celebrated on November 16, and she is regarded as the patron saint of Scotland.
