Malcolm III
Malcolm III, also known as Malcolm Canmore, was King of Scotland from 1058 until his death in 1093. He was the son of Duncan I and became king after defeating Macbeth, who had killed his father. Malcolm's reign is noted for his efforts to strengthen the Scottish monarchy and expand its territory.
He married Margaret of Wessex, who was instrumental in bringing English influences to Scotland, including reforms in the church. Malcolm III's rule marked a significant period in Scottish history, as he worked to consolidate power and improve relations with neighboring kingdoms, particularly England.
