Margaret of Burgundy
Margaret of Burgundy (1446–1503) was a notable noblewoman in European history, known for her role as a political figure in the Burgundian Netherlands. She was the daughter of Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy, and Isabella of Portugal. Margaret played a significant role in the dynastic politics of her time, particularly through her marriages and her influence over her children.
Margaret was married to Charles the Bold, Duke of Burgundy, and later to Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor. Her lineage connected powerful European houses, and she was the mother of Mary of Burgundy, who became a key figure in the Habsburg dynasty. Margaret's life and marriages helped shape the political landscape of 15th-century Europe.
