Malla Kings
The Malla Kings were a dynasty that ruled parts of the Kathmandu Valley in present-day Nepal from the 12th to the 18th centuries. They are known for their contributions to art, architecture, and culture, particularly during the golden age of the valley. The Malla period saw the construction of many temples, palaces, and public squares, which are still significant today.
The Malla Kings were also known for their patronage of the Newar community, which played a crucial role in the region's cultural development. Their rule was marked by a unique blend of Hindu and Buddhist traditions, influencing the social and religious landscape of the valley.
