Malaysian United Indigenous Party
The Malaysian United Indigenous Party, known as Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), is a political party in Malaysia founded in 2016. It was established to represent the interests of the indigenous Malay population and other Bumiputera communities. The party aims to promote unity and development among these groups while addressing issues such as economic inequality and social justice.
Bersatu emerged as a significant player in Malaysian politics, especially after the 2018 general elections, where it became part of the Pakatan Harapan coalition. The party's leadership includes prominent figures like Muhyiddin Yassin, who served as the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Bersatu continues to influence the political landscape by advocating for policies that benefit indigenous communities.
