Pakatan Harapan is a political coalition in Malaysia formed in 2015. It consists of several parties, including Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Democratic Action Party (DAP), National Trust Party (Amanah), and Parti Warisan Sabah. The coalition aims to promote reform and good governance, addressing issues like corruption and economic inequality. In the 2018 general elections, Pakatan Harapan achieved a historic victory, ending the long-standing rule of the Barisan Nasional coalition. This success marked a significant shift in Malaysian politics, as it was the first time in over 60 years that the opposition came to power.
