Mairead Corrigan
Mairead Corrigan is a Northern Irish peace activist known for her efforts in promoting non-violence during the Troubles, a period of conflict in Northern Ireland. Born on January 27, 1944, she co-founded the Community of Peace People in 1976, which aimed to encourage dialogue and understanding between different communities.
