Maha Vajiralongkorn, also known as King Rama X, is the current king of Thailand. He ascended to the throne on December 1, 2016, following the death of his father, King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Born on July 28, 1952, he is the only son of the late king and Queen Sirikit. Before becoming king, Vajiralongkorn served in the Royal Thai Army and held various military ranks. He has been involved in several royal duties and has a keen interest in aviation and sports. His reign has seen significant political and social changes in Thailand.
