Magadhi
Magadhi is an ancient language that originated in the region of Magadh, which is now part of modern-day Bihar, India. It is considered a precursor to several languages in the Bihari language family, including Maithili and Bhojpuri. Historically, Magadhi was spoken during the time of Buddha and is associated with the early development of Buddhism.
Today, Magadhi is primarily spoken in rural areas of Bihar and is recognized for its rich cultural heritage. While it has seen a decline in use, efforts are being made to preserve and promote the language through literature and local initiatives.
