Macedonian Pine
The Macedonian Pine, scientifically known as *Pinus peuce*, is a coniferous tree native to the mountainous regions of the Balkans. It typically grows between 20 to 30 meters tall and features a straight trunk with a conical crown. The tree is well-adapted to rocky soils and can thrive in harsh climates, making it a resilient species.
Macedonian Pine has long, slender needles that grow in bundles of five and can reach up to 10 centimeters in length. Its cones are cylindrical and can take up to two years to mature. This tree is valued for its timber, which is used in construction and furniture-making, as well as for its ecological importance in forest ecosystems.
