M63
M63, also known as the Sunflower Galaxy, is a spiral galaxy located approximately 37 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici. It is part of the Virgo Supercluster and is notable for its bright, sunflower-like appearance due to its prominent star-forming regions.
Discovered by Édouard Stephan in 1871, M63 has a diameter of about 100,000 light-years. It contains a mix of young and old stars, along with various nebulae. The galaxy is also home to several globular clusters and is often studied for its structure and star formation processes.
