M37
M37, also known as the Messier 37, is an open star cluster located in the constellation Auriga. It is one of the brightest and most prominent clusters in the night sky, containing around 150 stars. M37 is approximately 4,500 light-years away from Earth and is estimated to be about 500 million years old.
Discovered by the French astronomer Pierre Méchain in 1781, M37 is notable for its rich concentration of stars and its relatively high luminosity. The cluster is best observed with binoculars or small telescopes, revealing a beautiful array of stars against the backdrop of space.
