Lycaonia
Lycaonia was an ancient region located in central Asia Minor, now part of modern-day Turkey. It was bordered by Cappadocia to the east, Phrygia to the west, and Galatia to the north. The area was known for its mountainous terrain and was inhabited by various tribes, including the Lycaonians.
The region played a significant role in early Christian history, as it is mentioned in the New Testament. Notably, the Apostle Paul traveled through Lycaonia during his missionary journeys, spreading Christianity and establishing churches in cities like Iconium and Lystra.
