Lusatian Sorbs
The Lusatian Sorbs are a Slavic ethnic group primarily located in the region of Lusatia, which spans parts of eastern Germany and western Poland. They have their own distinct language, known as Upper Sorbian and Lower Sorbian, and maintain a rich cultural heritage that includes traditional music, dance, and crafts.
The Sorbs are recognized as a national minority in Germany, where they have legal rights to preserve their language and culture. Their communities celebrate various festivals, such as Wjela, which showcases their unique customs and traditions, helping to keep their identity alive in a predominantly German-speaking environment.
