Luna Moths
The Luna Moth is a large, striking moth known for its pale green wings and long tails. It belongs to the family Saturniidae and can have a wingspan of up to 4.5 inches. These moths are primarily found in North America and are most active at night, making them nocturnal creatures.
Luna Moths have a short adult lifespan, typically living only about a week. They do not eat during this time, as they focus on mating and laying eggs. The larvae, known as caterpillars, feed on the leaves of various trees, including walnut and sweetgum.
