Luisa Carlotta of Spain was a Spanish princess born on March 28, 1849, in Madrid. She was the daughter of Queen Isabella II of Spain and Francisco de Asís, Duke of Cádiz. In 1867, Luisa Carlotta married Prince Leopold of Hohenzollern, which strengthened ties between Spain and the Hohenzollern family.
