Luigi Vanvitelli
Luigi Vanvitelli was an Italian architect and engineer born on February 12, 1700, in Naples. He is best known for his work on the Royal Palace of Caserta, a magnificent palace that showcases the grandeur of the Baroque style. Vanvitelli's design for the palace included extensive gardens, fountains, and a grand staircase, making it a UNESCO World Heritage site.
In addition to the Royal Palace, Vanvitelli contributed to various other projects throughout Italy, including churches and public buildings. His innovative use of space and light, along with his attention to detail, established him as a prominent figure in 18th-century architecture. He passed away on March 1, 1773.
