Lucia dos Santos was a Portuguese shepherd girl born on March 28, 1907, in Aljustrel, near Fatima. She is best known for her role in the Fatima apparitions, where she reported seeing visions of the Virgin Mary in 1917, along with her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta Marto. These events are significant in the Catholic Church and have drawn millions of pilgrims to the site. Lucia became a nun and lived a life dedicated to her faith. She wrote about her experiences and the messages she received during the apparitions. Lucia passed away on February 13, 2005, and was beatified by the Catholic Church in 2008.
