Lubavitcher Hasidic community
The Lubavitcher Hasidic community, also known as Chabad, is a branch of Hasidic Judaism founded in the late 18th century by Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi. This community emphasizes the importance of Jewish education, outreach, and spirituality, aiming to make Jewish teachings accessible to all.
The Lubavitcher community is known for its vibrant network of Chabad Houses around the world, which serve as centers for Jewish learning, social services, and community events. The movement gained prominence under the leadership of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, who is revered as the last Rebbe and played a significant role in expanding its global reach.
